I work long hours, sometimes from home. And sometimes I get papers and books all over my work space. At other times, I will hook up my USB monitor and use it with my work laptop for conference calls or heavy duty work. But, I did not want to commit the space to a permanent desk. So, I wanted to have a semi permanent work space that I could move out of the way. I solved at first with a laptop tray with wheels so that I could sit on the sofa or a rolling stool. It was more productive that laying on the sofa, but there was not enough space for a 2nd monitor and so I ended up pulling out a 2nd tray table - a lot. And when not in use, it ended up with my mail and remotes on it - so I had to clear it off. Also, sometimes I wanted to clear it away altogether so that it was a recreational space but then I was still working in stuff, so it slowly dawned on me that I needed a dedicated work space. So, I decided to set up this desk in a separate space, just for working on my work laptop. It looks great! The desk is of high quality and easy to set up. I fits my laptop and USB monitor side-by-side and has a generous amount of space for a keyboard and mouse. My rolling chair fits neatly underneath the table. It is very sturdy. It is perfect! And, if I want the space for something else, it is good to know that all I have to do is just fold it and slide it under a bed or sofa or in the closet. Finally, a commitment-free personal desk!Rating dropped by 2 stars. The keyboard drawer fell out. I tried putting a board under the feet to stabilize it thinking that was the problem.. that was not it. It was poorly made so the drawers/rails do not fit properly. So, the drawer has gone from pulling out without stopping to falling out when it is juat sitting there unused. The table is too small to put a mouse and keyboard on top, so I am using it as a laptop table until I can replace it. Bummer!Update - 5/20/2019Four years later and this desk now serves as a high end looking laundry sort and fold center. (It looks better in person than in the photo.) The keyboard drawer that came with the desk is now presently propped up on the side while I try to figure out what to do with it; might use it to make a wire closet shelf solid. And, also, I’m looking for another small (but not too small) desk. Yes, this one still looks beautiful. No, I did not buy it again or try to repurpose it into a desk again. Instead, I plan to try out this folding writing desk with metal legs. It looks study and it’s cheaper, so I have high hopes for it. And, if need be, I will install a keyboard tray under the writing table that I plan to buy - which of course would make it no longer foldable and less economical. But, it’s a little wider so I’m hoping that I don’t need to. Anyways, if you are looking for a desk, it is pretty and the size is nice but the keyboard drawer tends to fall out. So, it might be ok for a temporary laptop or writing desk but if that is what you are looking for, perhaps consider this one instead - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XZV3F8F/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1.Overall I really like this desk. It was the right style and the right price for temporarily working at home. But it could be sturdier. Yes, it is a foldable desk, which was one of my requirements, but the company could have used a thicker brace at the back between the folding sides, and added a second brace towards the top. Since I will probably use this desk for a longer period of time than anticipated, I will add a second brace at the top for added strength. That being said, the desk holds a 27" iMac and a 25" monitor, with only the occasional wobble. The keyboard tray is useless for me, as it is too low and not sturdy enough for daily use. Currently I just use it to store supplies, but I'll probably remove it to create more room for my long legs.Delivery left something to be desired. Although it appeared to be wrapped securely, the desk came with noticeable damage in three areas: Top back corner where the desktop folds; Interior front side where the keyboard sits; Top back of desk. Even though the desk was received damaged, I'll live with it, as I paid much less than the desk is currently listed for, and returning it would be more trouble than its worth to me. If I get tired of looking at the damaged areas, I'll just use some wood filler and/or stain to cover up the areas.I bought this desk to fit in a small area. I'd been using an old free-standing hospital table. The type used to slide under the bed and provide a desk like surface for writing, eating, and/or grooming for someone bed bound. This gives you an idea of the size of my space.I was drawn to this piece because it comes fully assembled and requires no tools to set up. I'm an older woman and wanted to have something I wouldn't need help to put together. This is sturdy, attractive, and fit my space well. The desktop is slightly deeper than what I was using, which I wanted. The box was a bit heavy to bring in and drag down the hall but I was able to do it alone. Once it came out of the box it was simply a matter of 'unfolding' it and setting it where I wanted it. There is a small peg at the two front corners that fit into a slot on the top of the 'legs' or side pieces. The tray slides in easily once you have the side pieces in place. The pegs make it sturdier as well. The criss cross or X design on the side pieces provide even more sturdiness and are attractive.I've read that some people had issues with the tray pulling all the way out of the desk when extended. This will not happen if you slide it out gently and do NOT pull up on the front edge. By lifting the front edge you are able to take the keyboard slider out completely; convenient if you wish to take it out for cleaning and simply slide it back in use again. I have room now for my monitor, speakers, and desk lamp on top now without being crowded. The slide out tray allows even more free space on the top of the desk/table. I use a wireless mouse and keyboard. More convenient. The back is open, allowing plenty of room for wires. There is enough space under the desk for your CPU and chair to fit comfortably underneath.I'm quite pleased with the purchase. I'd use a coaster if you have a drink or something that might leave rings. It seems to be solid wood instead of light weight laminated particle board. Worth the price. It's surprisingly hard to find a small desk that is still deep enough to be functional, but this desk fits the bill. The overall quality is decent too - not the particle board stuff from the lower cost brands. The finish is done well and nothing to indicate a lack of attention to detail. The sticker on the table says Made in Thailand. Some nitpicks are that the table did have one or two nicks here and there, the pullout tray alignment isn't exactly centered and the cross bars in the leg isn't a flushed fit on one side. That said, the table is quite sturdy while not being too heavy and was well packaged with coverings for the corners. We ordered the "Espresso" color but it is quite dark unlike the pictures (the pullout tray is more accurate in color than the desk top). The box actually got damaged during shipping and left a minor dent on the table top, but Amazon handled that for us. All in all, would I recommend this? Yes.Solid desk with large computer tray -- very good value. Only weakness is the computer tray does not slide very smoothly. However, I don't need to slide the tray, so this weakness does not affect me.Falling apart.
